Receiptless pulls the store, the date, the total and every line item off a photo, on the phone itself, with iOS’s own text recognition. Your drives log themselves too. Nothing is uploaded, ever.

Receiptless Home: this month's spending and recent receipts A receipt read from its photo: store, date, total and line items Miles: drives logged automatically with the deduction added up Insights: spending by category and place for any date range

What it does

a receipt scanner and a mileage log that stay on your phone

Reads the whole receipt

Store, date, total, every item, the tax, the tip, the discounts, the loyalty points and the card you paid with. You check it before it is saved.

Spots receipts you already photographed

Turn it on and new receipt photos in your camera roll are read while you look at Home and line up under Ready to file. One tap files them all, photo and line items included.

Takes receipts from other apps, PDFs too

Share a photo, a screenshot or a PDF receipt from Mail, Photos, Safari or Files and it opens in Receiptless, read on the phone and ready to check.

Logs your drives

Miles notices when you drive and records the trip: distance, start and end. Swipe to mark it business or personal; the deduction adds up at the IRS rate.

Answers questions

Ask in plain English: how much on coffee this month, biggest purchase, groceries in May. It is a local search over your own receipts, not an AI service.

Exports and reminders

PDF or CSV for any date range, photos included if you want them. Put a warranty or tax date on a receipt and get reminded on the day.

How a receipt gets in

four ways, none of them typing

  1. Snap it. Tap +, take the photo, check what was read, save. Ten seconds at the register.
  2. Let it spot them. Photographed a receipt earlier? Turn on Spot new receipt photos and it finds them, reads them, and files them in one tap.
  3. Share it in. From Mail, Photos, Safari or Files: Share, then Receiptless. An emailed PDF receipt reads itself like a photo.
  4. Optional extras. A Shortcuts automation can log every Apple Pay tap, and “Hey Siri, add a receipt” opens the camera.

Private by design

the one promise everything else is built around

No account

It opens straight into the app. There is nothing to sign up for and nobody to be.

No server

Reading, storage, search, reports: all of it runs on the phone. The app makes no network requests of its own.

No bank connection

Receiptless never links to a bank, a card or an email account. Your receipts are the ones you photograph or type.

Nothing sold on

No analytics, no advertising SDK, no data broker. The App Store privacy label says Data Not Collected because it is true.

Questions people ask

Does the receipt photo get uploaded anywhere?

No. The reading is done by iOS’s own on-device text recognition inside the app. The photo and the text read from it never leave the phone. The app has no server to send them to.

Is it accurate?

On an ordinary printed receipt it finds the store, the date, the total and the items, and it tells you when it is unsure about a total so you check that one. You always see the result before anything is saved, and anything wrong is one tap to fix.

Does it work with emailed receipts?

Yes. A screenshot, an image attachment or a PDF shared from Mail is read on the phone like any other receipt: the first pages are rendered and read with the same on-device text recognition, and nothing is uploaded.

How does the mileage log work?

With your permission, Miles uses the iPhone’s motion and location to notice a drive and record it: distance, start and end. Trips are stored on the device. Mark each one business or personal, set Home and Work by address so rules can sort the rest, and the deduction adds up at the IRS standard mileage rate, including the mid-year rate change.

Is Tax Pro a subscription?

No. It is a single $19.99 purchase through the App Store, restored free on your other devices with the same Apple ID. Everything about receipts stays free either way.

Can my accountant use the exports?

Yes. Receipts export as CSV or as a PDF with the photos, trips export as CSV, and Tax Pro adds the IRS-style mileage log and a Schedule C pack that groups receipts and miles by line.
